Rome, 7-16 December 2018
With its over 200 m2 of exhibiting space, forty exhibited works, several tours and talks, and a celebratory finissage, the Roman solo show EXPLORA was a major undertaking celebrating a twelve years-long life journey.
Hosted in the monumental spaces of the Ex-Mattatoio - Rome's former slaughterhouse - the plans for this exhibition two thousands kilometers away from Amsterdam, originated from Daniele Scauso' personal wish - and need - to rejoin Rome as a new person: 'an artist now'.
From personal to public, The Explora Solo Show has been an opportunity to intimately share the results of an 10 years-long exploratory journey that saw Daniele changing countries and professions in a search that eventually brought him to embrace personal expression as scope of life. The exhibition's title carries both an encouragement for the audience and the name of the on-going project that was launched in this exhibtion:
The EXPLORA Series.
The Explora Solo Show's journey has been beautifully captured by Sophie Conin
in her short film: PHONE ROME.
Many thanks to all those whose help made this exhibition possible.
