"Few weeks before EXPLORA, my solo show in Rome, I asked my friend, photographer and documentarist Sophie Conin to come to my studio in Amsterdam and take some shoots of my hands. I posed for her spelling in the sign language the seven letter composing the title of the upcoming exhibition.
Later, the photos have been used to realized various promotional material for the show, and helped us in engaging with the GRUPPO SILIS - an hearing impaired association in Rome - for the organization of a personalized tour of EXPLORA, with myself, Sara Caterina - the interpreter in the sign language - and her hands".
